Responsibilities:
- Design and implement innovative risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures that leverage global best practices and adapt them to the unique demands of the market.
- Lead and Mentor a High-Performing Team: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of risk professionals.
- Oversee credit applications: Ensure strict adherence to all applicable credit policies for clientele.
- Collaborate closely with senior management, business partners, and regulatory bodies to identify and mitigate emerging risks and capitalize on new market opportunities.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics and insights to inform risk assessments, identify potential issues, and drive proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Cultivate a proactive and data-driven risk culture across the organization.
Qualifications:
- At least 8 years’ proven track record of success in risk management within the financial services industry, with a strong preference for experience in the capital markets/brokerage sector.
- Deep understanding of securities regulations, including margin rules.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- A highly analytical and results-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
