Chief Executive Officer (Multinational Investment Platform)
The Role:
A global fintech brokerage brand is seeking exceptional and accomplished leader to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer for a newly established capital markets seeking to enter the Malaysian market.
This pivotal executive will be tasked with setting the strategic course, ensuring successful license acquisition with the Securities Commission (SC), cultivating robust client confidence, and establishing the firm as a pre-eminent player in the regional financial services landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Focus on establishing the company presence in Malaysia. Spearhead license application as the Responsible Officer.
- Leadership: Build a team of senior leaders as the company opens operations in Kuala Lumpur.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with users, investors, partners, BURSA, regulators, etc in the region.
- Public Relations: Be the face of the company in the country, building a strong brand thru industry events, high level public appearances, etc.
- Team Focused: Build and lead a high-performing leadership team.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Ideal Candidate:
- A minimum of ten years of relevant professional engagement within the financial brokerage industry, with at least five years in a senior executive or leadership capacity.
- Experience applying & successfully obtaining a financial markets license with the Securities Commission (SC).
- Deep specialized knowledge of global capital markets, trading logistics, and financial risk governance.
- A well-established regional and international professional network.
- Demonstrated history of building, scaling, and optimizing brokerage platforms, including trading technology, client acquisition methodologies, and geographic market penetration.
- Exceptional commercial acumen, coupled with a results-oriented, growth-focused philosophy for driving revenue generation.
- Superior skills in executive leadership, managing complex stakeholder relationships, and strategic decision-making.
