About the job
The Opportunity
We are representing a global leader in the cloud management space that is officially planting its flag in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) market. Part of a wider ecosystem, they have recently secured a $100M+ strategic investment.
As the Channel Account Manager for APAC, you aren’t just joining a team; you are building the region’s partner ecosystem from the ground up.
This is a high-impact, strategic individual contributor role designed for someone with an entrepreneurial “bias for action”.
Your Daily Responsibilities:
- You will shape the regional channel strategy and lead the development of a hybrid two-tier distribution model across APAC
- You will drive revenue for the channel through a strong, existing network of partners
- You will develop new business relationships to acquire new partners for the region
- You will play a pivotal role in establishing the company’s presence. Owning regional performance and acting as the primary face of the brand positions you naturally for leadership as the regional team scales.
- You will spend your time engaging with partners both virtually and in person, building multi-level relationships to drive long-term engagement. You’ll collaborate with global teams to align strategies while acting as the “voice of APAC” internally to ensure the region has the tools it needs to win.
- You will build a business with the autonomy of a “startup” environment in APAC, but also have the sophisticated backing of established Channel, Marketing, and Ops teams in North America and EMEA.
Your Winning Qualities:
- 8+ years of experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise software channel sales.
- A strong network and understanding of the Microsoft partner landscape, including distributors, GSIs, and resellers.
- Entrepreneurial with a track record in building from scratch. This role will not suit someone most comfortable working within a ‘large company’ infrastructure
- Proven success in partner recruitment and working within two-tier distribution models.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages like Japanese, Korean, or Malay are highly valued as you scale the region.
