Python Software Engineer
You’ll work closely with product and management to develop tools and services that drive business growth. Collaborating with colleagues in Sydney and London across product, business analysis, and IT, you’ll have a say in selecting technologies that improve the app’s self-service capabilities and strengthen the backend architecture.
Responsibilities
Improve the self-service capabilities of the app as well as the underlying backend architecture.
Design and build a suite of new touchpoints to automate existing manual tasks and optimise usability.
Build on the existing set of data pipelines to meet the goals of the data strategy.
Migrate the software towards a full stack architecture of TypeScript React front end and Python lambda backend.
Develop a data-centric strategy to enable more flexible product and sales capabilities, offer new products based on fleet data and expand the capabilities of the data warehouse.
Qualifications and Skills
BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
Minimum 3 years of experience working in a full-time software engineering role
Strong knowledge of Python and React essential (additional languages are a plus)
Good understanding of AWS cloud services
Familiarity with PHP and WordPress plugins (legacy stack)
Strong customer focus, problem solving, and relationship-building skills essential
