We’re partnering with a high-growth, well-funded SaaS business building AI-native product capability into a successful platform used in a real-world, high-value industry.
This is a role for a Software-first AI Engineer, someone who can design, build, and ship production systems, not just experiment with models
As the Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be working with messy, unstructured customer data across documents, workflows, language, commercial inputs, and varied file formats, turning that into useful AI-powered product experiences.
The environment is product-led, engineering-driven, and highly practical. The focus is on building AI features that are reliable, measurable, and genuinely useful to customers.
About the Role
As an AI Engineer, you’ll help design and build production-grade AI features across the platform. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and data leadership to turn ambiguous customer problems into scalable AI product workflows. This is hands-on engineering: architecture, APIs, databases, LLM orchestration, evals, deployment, and iteration.
You’ll need to be comfortable moving between traditional software engineering and modern AI tooling, especially where the input data is messy, inconsistent, and difficult to structure.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Building LLM-powered product features across messy, real-world customer data.
- Designing RAG systems, agentic workflows, extraction/classification tools, and AI automation features.
- Building backend services, APIs, database-backed systems, and integration layers.
- Working with unstructured and semi-structured documents, language, files, and customer datasets.
- Developing evaluation approaches to measure the quality, reliability, and usefulness of AI outputs.
- Shipping production AI systems that are observable, secure, maintainable, and scalable.
- Working across architecture, product thinking, prototyping, hardening, and release.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong software engineering background, ideally backend or full-stack.
- Experience building and shipping production software products.
- Strong experience with APIs, databases, system design, and cloud-based architectures.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, agents, AI workflows, or GenAI product features.
- Experience working with messy, unstructured data, documents, language, or customer datasets.
- Comfort designing systems that are reliable, tested, observable, and production-ready.
- Ability to work in ambiguity and turn loose product problems into shipped features.
Tech Environment, Current stack includes:
- Node.js, TypeScript
- AWS, Docker, ECS
- LangChain / LangGraph
- LLM and agentic AI tooling
Direct experience with every tool is not essential, but strong software engineering fundamentals and real applied AI product experience are important.

- Experience with vector databases, embeddings, hybrid search, or semantic retrieval.
- Experience with AI evaluation, observability, monitoring, or guardrails.
- Experience in B2B SaaS, construction tech, procurement, legal tech, fintech, regtech, insurance, or document-heavy workflow products.Experience with AWS ECS, serverless, Docker, CI/CD, and production cloud environments.
